University representatives participated in a meeting on the implementation of the “Student Ombudsman” project

On October 14, a meeting was held at the Center for Human Rights Protection in Ivano-Frankivsk region dedicated to the implementation of the pilot project “Student Ombudsman”, which is being implemented at the initiative of the Regional Representation of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in Ivano-Frankivsk region. The event was organized under the leadership of the head of the representation, Vitaliy Verbovy.

Our university was represented at the meeting by the Chairman of the Council for Research Work of Students, Postgraduate Students and Young Scientists, Assistant Professor of the B. Stuparyk Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management Taras Paska, and Deputy Director of the Educational and Scientific Law Institute Natalia Bashuryn. Representatives of Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University and Kherson State University also joined the event.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the goals and objectives of the pilot project, which is aimed at protecting students’ rights, improving legal culture, and forming an active civic position of young people. The initiative involves the creation of an authorized person who will represent the interests of students, act as an intermediary between the institution’s administration, teachers, and students, and also conduct educational activities.

The initiative will promote interaction between youth, educational institutions, and local governments.

Our university gratefully joins this important initiative aimed at establishing a legal culture, protecting the rights of education seekers, and strengthening partnerships between all participants in the educational process.

We thank the organizers of the event for their fruitful cooperation and support for the development of legal awareness among student youth!
